The feel good factor and comfort level of wearing the Hamana is excellent. It feels well balanced rather than top heavy, and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The micro adjustment clasp is excellent, and gives a good amount of on the fly adjustment. Overall the build quality, quality control, and finishing, are excellent. The accuracy of the Miyota 9039 is excellent; mine is running at +2 seconds per day.

The fully lumed dial has a great design and its very legible in the dark. The watch is also very comfortable to wear.

I’ve owned this watch for six months now, so here are my thoughts. I love the dial design and use of lume, especially when it’s fully charged and you step into the dark or a dimly lit place.
This is the principal reason for my purchase. Every dial feature is bright and totally readable, even all the bezel marks and numbers are lumed. The crown size and design are nice; easy to use. Movement has a decent reserve and is plenty accurate. Lacking a date window is another reason the dial design is so nice, simpler is better in this case. On the down side, after a few hours in the dark, when the lume is discharged, the watch is totally unreadable. All you see is a dim smear. The dial and hands are both white lume, so there is no contrast between them. Additionally, the band seems a little thin and out of proportion to the case size. Though nicely finished the edges are slightly rough. I sometimes wear it with an Omega navy blue and white NATO band, and that gives it a really nice look since the band and bezel colors are a perfect match. All in all I like this watch. It’s a solid value and gets as much wear as other watches in my collection. Great attempt by this new microbrand.
