**Return Policy**
 
At Makoto Watch Company, we are committed to ensuring that every timepiece you receive meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Our return policy is designed to be transparent and fair, reflecting our dedication to customer satisfaction.
 
**Warranty**
 
Makoto Watch Company offers a limited two-year warranty on our Automatic watches and a 1 Year warranty on our quartz models. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase for our automatic movement watches and a period of twelve (12) months for our quartz models from the date of purchase. The warranty is valid only with a completed and dated warranty certificate, which must be presented for any claims.  This Warranty is non transferable and valid for the original purchaser of the timepiece. 
 
**What is Covered**
 
– Defects in the internal movement, mechanisms, and case of the watch.
– Manufacturing defects in the bracelet end links and clasp.
– Any defects present at the time of delivery of your Makoto watch.
 
**What is Not Covered**
 
– Return shipping costs.
– Minor bezel misalignment (within 1% degree of top marker).
– Non-metallic straps (leather, textile, rubber).
– Normal aging or wear-and-tear, including scratched crystals and slight alteration of material color.
– Damage resulting from loose screws or spring bars affecting the watch head or movement.
– Damage from abnormal or abusive use, including negligence, accidents, or incorrect use.
– Repairs or alterations performed by non-authorized persons.
 
**Damaged or Incorrect Items**
 
Please inspect your order upon receipt. If you find that the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately to evaluate your claim. We will work to resolve the issue as swiftly as possible.
 
**Returns**
 
We offer a 14-day return policy. You have 14 days from the date of receipt to request a return. To be eligible for a return, the item must be:
 
– In its original packaging.
– Unworn and unused.
– With tags and the bracelet un-sized.
– Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.
 
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective. In such cases, we will cover the return shipping costs after inspection. Returned products due to non-delivery will be processed and a credit will be added to your account minus any delivery fees and other processing fees, you will have 1 year to use this credit before it expires.
 
**To Start a Return**
 
1. Contact us at support@makotowatch.com to initiate the return process.
2. Send the item to: PO Box 228, Komoka PO, Ontario, Canada N0L1R0 .  Please ensure that you obtain a tracking number for your shipment.
3. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
 
**Refunds**
 
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.
PLEASE NOTE – If you have a pre-order watch on order which has not yet shipped, you can request a refund minus any processing fees which are typically 3-4%%
 
All refunds and returns are subject to a 3-4% processing fee unless your watch is deemed to be defective.
